as Lisa approaches her 15 months mark, we are beginning to notice more improvements from her day by day.
although we still cannot manage to get her to say papa and mama on request, she is already picking up the number counting skills. of course, she can’t do it from 1 to 10 as yet. but she can definitely follow along once you reach 5. I can’t remember when Jessie started picking up numeric skills, but am still very proud of the little one on her progress. well done Lisa!
it is also funny that Jessie, whom is still a small kid in our eyes, is already setting examples for her younger sibling. you can often hear her telling Lisa off matter-of-factly for doing something inappropriate. it is also because of this that Lisa is already picking up more complex words such as 不要 and 知道 which is quite amazing considering that she is yet to master words like grandpa, grandma and uncles which babies tend to pick up easier in their early speech developing process.
I guess since she is the youngest in the family, it is easy for us to think of her as a baby all the time (though she still is, literally). thus we forget she is as much capable of being a fresh sponge at absorbing every little thing around her as any other baby. it came as quite a surprise to me when I realised yesterday that she actually understands our conversation a lot more than what I expect of her. shame on me for not having enough faith on Lisa as I once did with Jessie.
mommy is sorry, Lisa dear.
